Yiru is a 3rd year undergraduate student studying Kinesiology and Physical Education at the University of Toronto, as well as Math/Statistics as an additional major. Through the professional placement program, she joins Novanta Sports Performance as a student Data Analyst. She will be analyzing GPS data collected during the @oakvillesoccerclub GU17 OPDL season. More specifically, her analysis will include a review of current training demands within a tactical periodization framework and its direct correlation to match day performance. Her research will also look at normative data found within the literature on the demands of the game within elite women’s soccer. Yiru has a passion for Sports Science and Mathematics and is a member of the cross-country/track & field varsity training squad at the University of Toronto.
